The Goldpine Post – NOVEMBER 2021

This month’s issue of The Goldpine Post focuses on the dairy sector in New Zealand. The dairy sector is a thriving industry to be involved in, with milk exports bringing in the biggest profit to our national economy.

We introduce you to organic dairy farmers, Nick and Jo Collins, where they farm in Piopio (a small town in the Waikato region). Our next profile talks to Amy Pyne of Rakaia Island, based in the Canterbury region, where she shines some light on their dairy farming techniques. Terry and Lisa Yates are long-time dairy farmers from Dannevirke. We caught up with them a second time to hear how they are progressing with their two support blocks and three dairy farms.

Federated Farmers of New Zealand (FFNZ) are always advocating on behalf of the rural community. Andrew Hoggard, dairy farmer and president of FFNZ, talks about the organisation and how it empowers farmers from all different backgrounds.

We take you through our State of the Industry piece on dairy, highlighting the sector from an economic standpoint, followed by thoughts from individuals within the sector.

Check out our fencing tip for the month with Ben Clark and hear some of our customer reviews on the new GOFENCE RAPTOR TOOL.

All this and more inside.
