Happy New Year, and welcome to the January edition of The Post! We’re getting the year underway with expert insights from industry leaders who are shaping the future of agriculture.

This month, we start with a feature from Dr. Jacqueline Rowarth – a soil scientist, farmer and Adjunct Professor at Lincoln University. Dr. Rowarth’s expertise offers valuable insights into the latest innovations and strategies for enhancing farm productivity and sustainability.

Next, we hear from Dr. Derrick Moot – a leading figure in farming systems and climate adaptation, and researcher at Lincoln University. Dr. Moot shares his expert perspective on how lucerne grazing can help farmers adapt to climate challenges, boost productivity, and improve farm resilience.

We also include insights from Clive Jones, winemaker at Nautilus Estate since 1998. In his article, Clive reflects on the growth of New Zealand’s wine industry and the challenges and opportunities it faces in a changing global market.

While we were in the Waikato, we met with Darryl Tinetti, who shared how the construction of three Goldpine Strongbuilt® Sheds has helped streamline operations on three Waitoa dairy farms.

This month’s expert-driven content is filled with practical insights and strategies that aim to support and strengthen your farming operations in 2025 and beyond.
