We visited Pūniu River Care's head office and nursery based in Te Awamutu. The Māori-led incorporated society and registered charity, founded by Shannon Te Huia, started in 2015. Since then, they've completed 75 kilometres of fencing and planted over 1.4 million trees across the Waikato, Waipā District and King Country.
